Györ, Hungary based retreader ÉNYKK, the retreading operation of bus and coach operator Volánbusz, has announced the appointment of József Pillár as the company’s new plant manager. At the same time the company is now operating under the new name of
Volánbusz ZRT.
Pillár replaces Tibor Varga, who retired in September after 42 years as manager of the plant.

Paride Frattone in Co-operation with Italmatic
Tarsus Group Acquires Tyrexpo Series
Italmatic have announced that they have entered into a co- operation agreement with Paride Frattone, the ex-techical sales manager of Marigo, the Italian
mould and press manufacturer, which ceased trading recently. According to Italmatic, Frattone will actively participate in the sales promotion not only of presses and moulds manufactured by Italmatic, but also in the promotion of the whole range of machines and accessories for tyre retreading produced by Italmatic Group. “The experience and competences of Paride Frattone will add to the strength of the existing commercial organisation of Italmatic Group, which boasts direct affiliates in the USA, Germany and Singapore,” said Italmatic’s CEO Dr Massimo Ghitturi in a statement.
Tarsus, the global B2B media group, has announced that it has acquired the TyreXpo series of events from Singapore-based organiser, SingEx. The acquisition adds a complementary brand to the automotive events in the Tarsus portfolio and gives the group access to an adjacent market.
The TyreXpo series, first launched in Singapore in 1997 is firmly established as the leading tyre industry event for the Southeast Asia region.
The biennial event is held at Singapore EXPO and the 2019 edition, held in March, attracted over 200 exhibitors across an exhibition area of 12,000sqm and saw 2,506 visitors in attendance. Under Tarsus Group ownership, the event will have an increased focus on the TBR
(truck & bus
radial), OTR (Off
the Road) and PCR
(Passenger Car
Radial) sectors
coupled with a
buyer programme
to grow the number
of international
buyers at the event.
Tarsus Group CEO Douglas Emslie, highlighted the
strategic fit of the acquisition: “The TyreXpo series acquisition aligns with our approach of investing in high growth opportunities and markets. This is an exciting vertical for Tarsus and complements our existing presence in automotive industry events.”
Increased global participation will be a key focus for the event going forward, said Tarsus Asia CEO, Nino Gruettke: “The Tarsus Asia team are excited to roll out the next phase of development for TyreXpo series – a key priority will be to bring the world’s leading buyers to Singapore and truly internationalise the event.”
The next edition of TyreXpo Asia is scheduled to take place in March 2021 at the Singapore EXPO.
NeroForce Appointed Exclusive Sales and Service Partner for AKARMAK Machines in Europe
NeroForce, the recently founded company for retreading tools and machines from Leipheim in Southern Germany, is responsible for the sales and service of high- quality AKARMAK machines throughout Europe with immediate effect.
The Turkish machine supplier Akar Makina Sanayi (AKARMAK), known for its turnkey systems for truck and EM retreading, has
exclusively charged NeroForce GmbH with the European sales and service of its machines. AKARMAK is not only a specialist for computer-aided buffer machines, cushion gum extruders and tread builders, but also manufactures high-performance autoclaves for tyre diameters of up to 4.60 m.
