RWM
AI & Robotics Conference at RWM 2019
UK’S LARGEST RECYCLING & WASTE MANAGEMENT EVENT
and change industries could be the game changer for businesses to capitalise and ride the coming wave. In order to give the waste and recycling industry the best opportunity to view and learn about the cutting edge of AI and Robotics, and how they can benefit business, RWM will be introducing the AI & Robotics Zone to RWM 2019.
This zone will be a hub of pioneering technology for the recycling and waste industry, providing clear
robotic solutions to issues such as work rate to meet higher targets and better sorting of valuable materials. Just look to 2018 Circular Economy Award winners Machinex for a fine example of AI at work in the waste world.
AI and Robotics could provide solutions and streamlining to so many processes within the waste industry, so be sure to keep up to date with our AI & Robotics Zone to stayed clued up.
Maybe a little bit “out of left field”, but some may be interested in the latest developments coming to industry.
Retreading is, essentially, a manual task, and around the world more people are employed in retreading doing repetitive tasks than we care to think about. We see manufacturers of equipment such as Matteuzzi, Salvadori, and others, adding digital controls to their equipment – today a machine in Argentina can be diagnosed remotely by a technician in Italy, thanks to digital
communications. Buffers can be almost fully automatic. One thing is for sure though, AI and robotics are just around the corner – we already have robotic buffers and skivers, shearography that can be automated for diagnosis. So, perhaps a visit to the RWM at Birmingham, UK’s NEC in September might give an opportunity to hear more about where AI and robotics are heading. AI and robotics are the newest in rising developments throughout the world. Recognising how these evolutions in technology will affect
