This tread design is currently available in a width of 10 5/8” (270 mm), and a depth of 27.5/32”
(22 mm), and will soon be available in widths of 9 7/8” (250 mm), 10 2/8” (260 mm) and 11” (280 mm), with a depth of 27.5/32” (22mm).
The grooved block design of the WMP tread is aligned with the rotation of the rim, which ultimately helps reduce rolling resistance. This unique design also provides better traction in mud and on snow covered roads, and special design features, such as union bridges between blocks,
help reduce uneven wear.

KRAIBURG Austria have made use of the summer time to fill up their warehouse with winter tread patterns. “We are expecting a great demand, above all, for our 35 designs which may carry the 3PMSF pictogram,” Christoph Priewasser, Product Manager at KRAIBURG Austria declared.
This K702, for example, is a versatile premium pattern for bus traffic with high traction, long service life and low running costs. The design, which was tested on snow under Scandinavian winter conditions, copes effortlessly with any slope and ensures a short braking distance even on wet or snow-covered roads. Thanks to its special shoulder geometry, the
City-Bus design can also be used in regional and cross-country traffic. Its special
K_plus
compound
lends the
K702 high
running
performance
and an even
rolling profile.
The exactly
adapted and
irregular tread K718 design also ensures low noise development. The premium pattern is available in widths of 230, 240 and 260 millimetres. Meanwhile, the newly developed K718 pattern is an all-season tyre with good winter properties and good adherence even on wet, snow-covered and steep roads. The long-distance design features high running performance, low fuel consumption and optimum traction. A special K_plus tread compound makes this design a long-lasting and economical partner in long-distance traffic which exhibits an excellent rolling profile due to frequent interruption of the tread blocks by sipes.
