“We had some free capital, and we thought about different options. What we definitely didn’t want to be engaged in, was profiteering. We considered opening a tyre recycling plant that would produce rubber crumb. Nevertheless, after some discussions we opted for a retreading plant, because that was a real production; that was
something serious that you make with your own hands and you were responsible for,” Veidyashkin explained.
The geographical location not far from Moscow seemed like an obvious advantage, as Moscow and St. Petersburg are the main transit centres in Russia, with most cargo from European Russia flowing through these cities. As a result, the number of trucks in Moscow is one of the biggest among all European cities.
  Founded in 2016, the Piper ANZ plant has become an important part of the retreading
clients in order to take the plant to full capacity, Alexander Veidyashkin, co-owner of Piper
ANZ has unveiled. Piper ANZ was established by three partners, who have been acquainted since the time of their studies in the local aviation academy. This is where the very company’s name came from. Piper is a reference to an aircraft model that the company’s owners were once very fond of.
Owning a jet was a ‘golden dream’ for the co-owners, and so it is pictured on the company’s logo with a
tyre replacing the fuselage, Veidyashkin explained. It was decided that this logo in some way would ‘unite the past with the future’.
