Spanish Transport Company Confirms the Quality of Vipal’s VT110 tread
its respective version in the Ultra line.
"We are always investing in research and development of new products, aiming at continuous improvement of the products we offer to our concessionaire network. With this launch, the Ultra line further strengthens its leadership within the Tipler portfolio. We will soon announce more news to the market,” commented Rodrigo Farina, Business Manager at Tipler. "The rounded
shoulders of this tread were created to reduce the severity of the lateral drag suffered by the first and third wheel axles,” explained Farina.
The RT56 Ultra is available in 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, and 260mm widths and has a 13mm deep groove. It also and comes with Tipler's exclusive PPA technology - Ready to Apply, which reduces the cost, time of preparation and waste of raw material by the retreader.
A traditional Niguelas fleet owner in the region of Granada, Spain, which has used Vipal precured tread to travel over 300,000 kilometres of highways has carried out a road test

of Vipal’s VT110 tread to test its quality.
According to Antonio Gijón, from Operadores de Transportes S.L., testing started in February 2016 on one of the company’s fleet trucks. A fleet, which today comprises 70 trucks and 90 semi-trailers. The tyre in question achieved 300,992 kilometres. The vehicle selected for the test, a Volvo 500, received four traction tyres, which were retreaded with Vipal’s VT110 pre-cure tread. “This work with fleets has been really important for demonstrating the advantages of retreaded tyres. The savings can be felt in practice and efficiency is guaranteed, especially when we apply the most suitable solution for each type of vehicle and driving condition," emphasised Vipal’s Commercial Coordinator in Europe, Fabrício Nedeff, noting that the partnership with retreaders has also been
fundamental. For Antonio Gijón specifically, which transports all types of cargo, including perishable products, support from Graneuman, a key Vipal retreading partner in Escúzar, Granada, proved essential to achieving the results.
The design of the tread pattern developed for radial tyres on the drive was conceived to optimise traction. With grooves designed with stone ejectors at the bottom to keep rocks and other objects from getting embedded in the tread, the VT110 from Vipal gives the casing better protection against damage. The width of its central blocks also offers a wider area of contact with the ground to deliver higher mileage, and its more reinforced shoulders give the blocks better pullout resistance. Also available for the ECO version.
Vipal also released several test results from Europe last year, including one in Spain, which proved the superiority of the VRT3 tread in the highway cargo transport tyre segment. Subjected to extreme operating conditions in the Pyrenees Mountains, a route between France and Spain, the VRT3 tread used on the tyres of a Scania R440 - 6x2 truck delivered the best results when compared against new tyres from a leading European market brand. The yield was 52 per cent higher with the Vipal tread, covering 112,710 kilometres with the VRT3, while the new tyre registered 74,300 kilometres.
Vipal Receives Alpine Symbol Certifications on Two New Treads

identification, shown on the tread side. The European regulations ECE R117 and ECE R109, which define testing methodology, point out that
Vipal Rubber has just received the Alpine Symbol certification on two additional treads, VM729 and VDE2. As a result, the brand portfolio now includes six verified treads, including
Vipal VDE2
VDA4,
VT160, VT220 and VRT3.
“With constant work, Vipal Rubber has been following the increasingly specific requirements of the European market, mainly aiming to ensure more tread safety and in the products, which respect health and the environment,” says Vipal Rubber’s Director of International Business, Leandro Rigon.
VM729 is a tread designed for radial tyres and drive axles. It provides uniform wear, low noise levels, and excellent drive on dry and wet
surfaces, and is particularly recommended for long-distance services on paved surfaces. VDE2, on the other hand, has excellent drive power and tread direction, offering more abrasion wear resistance, being suitable for highway freight transportation. Both the VM729 and VDE2 treads are also available in the ECO version.
Under the new European rules, all tyres, including retreaded ones, must present the 3PMSF (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake) certification, holding the Alpine Symbol seal

which started in October 2017,
Tipler is making available to its concessionaire network another
