Gan feels this year’s South African show has been small but productive and says, “We have been visited by a number of interesting companies, and I feel being at the show was a good investment for Sun Rubber as we move into the South African Retreading market.”
   Salvadori to Extend Business Presence in Southern Africa

Both Favazza and Pitto firmly believe the show needs to increase in size and, for the future, include a hall completely dedicated to the tyre retreading market sector.
Italian based tyre retreading specialists Salvadori were making their third appearance as an exhibitor at the Tyrexpo Africa 2018 Show, having last visited the event in 2014.
Retreading Business caught up with Marco Favazza – Sales Manager and Andrea Pitto – Area Sales Manager on the Salvadori stand where they were showcasing their conveyor belt equipment range for the South African mining industry. Whilst another equally important aim was to meet new companies with the objective of appointing new
partner distributors in the garage and retreading markets.
Favazza said, “Salvadori are already quite active in South Africa working with a number of dealers, but we now want to further expand our business profile in the country and also into neighbouring countries in Southern Africa. We are sure the retreading market in South Africa has huge potential for the future especially in the heavy tyre and mining sectors, and Salvadori is determined to establish a growing presence in these markets to benefit from this development.
“Our ultimate goal is for the company to appoint an ambitious distributor in South Africa who can successfully promote and sell our complete product range throughout the southern region of the African Continent.”
