Marangoni Introduces Ringbuilder Saturn
Italian company, the Eagle T
2020 features countless
buffing programmes, which
can be easily managed
through a practical and
intuitive user interface.
Eagle T 2020 is also available
with the option of a DBD
(Dynamic Belt Detector)
system, which detects the
presence of belts in the entire
tread area and across its
width. The DBD system is
particularly suitable for
maximising the use of casings, including those that are less known to the retreading industry, such as those that have either recently been launched on the market or are made by not so widely known brands.
“The key to the new Eagle T 2020 is simplicity and high productivity,” explained Giovanni de Bei. “Aimed at
Marangoni Retreading Systems used the opportunity offered by the Autopromotec exhibition to stage the global launch of the unique Ringbuilder Saturn, an exclusive new technology guaranteeing outstanding tyre-level performance and
RingBuilder 3003 system, at a much lower price.
Its easy to use operating system allows the user to apply a thin, overlapping strip of extruded cushion gum during multiple rotations on to the crown and
shoulder of a tyre- casing. This strip size cushion, while not totally eliminating the need to fill larger craters, permits a reduced and precise application of the right quantity of cushion- gum. The RingBuilder Saturn then applies a pre-cured tread-ring on the casing – all during the same build- cycle, and without any
need to shift the tyre during the process.
The first installation of the new technology occurred in Lourosa, Portugal, at the Lusitania Paulino e Gomes retreading plant. Mr Antonio Cruz, Director of Lusitania Paulino e Gomes retreading company declared a few weeks after the commissioning of their Ringbuilder Saturn: “I am very happy about the productivity of this machine. Today with one operator only we produce the same quantity than we did before with two. The technical quality of the retreads is excellent and the footprint of the machine is compact. The human-machine interface is intuitive, it makes its functioning really easy for any new operator”.

medium to large retreaders who are looking towards the future, our new machine helps retreaders to significantly reduce labour costs and increase productivity. For example, on a 315/80 tyre, the Eagle T 2020 can handle 20-30 tyres per hour depending on how much work needs to be done on the sidewalls.”
Salvadori: Business as Usual
exceptional value for money.
The product builds on the proven success of the 70-year-old Italian company’s Ringtread System, and is a major upgrade on their tried and tested RT1000S Ringtread-builder and Black Swan cushion-gum Extruder systems, which have already enjoyed global success in the marketplace.
The Ringbuilder Saturn is the first machine to be brought to the market by Marangoni as part of a new strategy aimed at satisfying price- conscious medium size retreaders with less need for automation.
The RingBuilder Saturn 3000 is capable of producing up to 80 tyres per eight-hour shift, and is a more environmentally friendly alternative to the company’s existing
Salvadori presented as usual at Autopromotec with the now familiar warm welcome for everyone. The company is increasingly expanding its markets with an increased emphasis on equipment not just for retreading but also for recycling.
The Italian company, now part of
the TECH Group is looking forwards to wider access to the market through the synergies with TECH. The retreading market is consolidating globally and Salvadori expect to grow in partnership with the new markets that global operations will bring.
TRM Emphasises Marangoni
Integration and Launches
New Buffer
TRM has been linked to the Marangoni Group for a number of years now, but this year the Italian machinery manufacturer was present at Autopromotec on the same stand as its parent in order to emphasise the integration between the two companies. Giovanni de Bei, appointed Sales Director of TRM in February, was on hand to present the company’s latest innovations, the most important of which was an innovative new automatic buffer, the Eagle T 2020.
Those who are accustomed to TRM machines know that Eagle is historically the name of the range of buffing machines developed by the company. However, the nomenclature
T 2020 has multiple meanings. “T”, of course, stands for truck, but the number 2020 refers not only to the future, but also to the number two, which often appears in the key elements of the new machine. There are two independent chucks, which are applied to the same turret, along with two operational zones, two belt detection systems and measurement of the circumference, always with two autonomous safety zones.
The two chucks are approached by an automatic articulated arm for buffing. The machine, which is also fitted with a manual arm for finishing operations, allows for one operator to carry out operations that are usually carried out by two operators. As always for the
Rekor Looking for New Markets
Turkish partner to Avon, Rekor was in evidence in the retreading hall. Like so many other retread materials suppliers they were asking questions about the state of the market and where the onslaught from China was going to take the industry? These are questions that, at present, no-one seems able
to answer. It is only in countries such as Brazil and Russia where tariffs have been
