At present Unique’s sales are mostly in Brazil, but the company does export treads on behalf of Tipler to Argentina, Chile and Ecuador, and has recently started to export the Borex brand to the Argentinian market.

What we can offer is increased flexibility to clients, and the market seems to appreciate this. “We can also offer an exceptionally quick response in terms of product development,” he continued. “We can produce moulds internally, so we can achieve a very fast turnaround compared to competition. materials. The Tipler product range is backed up by a specific political strategy in approach to the market as well as by a comprehensive package of tools and services, aimed at both the retreader and the fleet.
Ever yone who works in the Brazilian retread market is well aware of how both Unique and Tipler have developed roots, namely the businesses developed by the Möller family. Unique is the new and impressive modern factor y, which in addition to manufacturing the Tipler brand, manufactures the Borex brand, also belonging to the Möller family and operating in the multi-brand market. Unique manufactures treads for six other brands owned by third parties, which operate in the Brazilian retreading market.
The company still produces rubber compounds for the pneumatic and rubber segment in general.
The core political strategy behind the Tipler brand is a commitment to give the retreader the political freedom to use other brands where it’s cost-effective and expedient for them to do so. For example, where a retreader feels the need to use a more budget-oriented product line to satisfy a client’s individual requirement in a specific sector, or when an application specific requirement makes it more suitable to use another brand, Tipler allows the dealer to work with other suppliers in the best interest of the retreader to

The Tipler range is split into four different lines – Performance, Ultra, Ecomais and Extra. Performance represents the most part of Tipler sales, this being the main line covering most applications. The other lines show specific characteristics – Ultra is a high mileage tread, Ecomais is a specialist low rolling resistance tread and oriented to the reduction of fuel consumption, and Extra is Tipler’s solution for the OTR tyre retread market.
This product range is backed up with a package of tools and services for both retreaders and fleets known as the “Tipler Value Package”. This package offers four key tools for fleets, these being STGP (tyre management software offering complete management of the histor y of a tyre), STCQ (a programme that calculates the cost per kilometre of individual tyres comparing the performance of Tipler treads with the treads of other brands), STAS (tyre management software that helps prevent premature tyre losses in a fleet by analysing carcass damage) and STIF (vehicle inspection software). In addition to these fleet management tools, the Tipler Value Package offers a series of additional tools to help retreaders manage their businesses more efficiently. These include STV (a control panel for the management of

With a network of more than 70 dealers in Brazil as well as partners in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, Tipler can claim to be one of the leading retread brands in South America. However, it is Tipler’s approach to the market, one which focuses on political freedom, which sets the brand apart from other leading players. We recently visited the company and spoke to Sales Manager
Fabiano Fratta about Tipler’s position in the South American retread market and its aspirations for the future. Tipler is essentially a tyre retreading products company offering marketing and services for retreaders and fleets. It has a large range of products, but these are all produced by Unique Rubber Technologies, South America’s second largest producer of retreading
