TRM: Always at its Best

Also in the highly demanding segment of the aircraft retreading TRM has continued its good business collaboration
with the key players, a factor that is particularly important since this sector has shown an important growth in the last few years.
TRM, the division of Marangoni Meccanica dedicated to the development, manufacture and sale of tyre retreading machinery, will participate at this year’s Reifen fair with its own booth in Hall 10, Stand 11F13.
After presenting at Reifen 2014 with its top of the range automatic building machine for cold retreading called “Black Constrictor”, which combines a vertical extruder for cushion gum application using the method of strip winding with an automatic precured tread applicator with tension control, TRM will now present at the new “Constrictor 1000” machine, a manual building machine for truck tyres designed for markets outside Europe where the demand is for an affordable but reliable machine that is easy to operate, even for unskilled workers.
The machine will have an integrated rotating knife and compact dimensions, but will keep some important features of TRM equipment such as the
centrally driven chuck and the radial stitching unit that allows a better expulsion of any air trapped between casing and tread.
This will be the first step of a project focused on the development of machiner y for emerging markets, but at the same time keeping the high standard of quality for which TRM is globally known.
TRM also plans to develop in the coming months a variant of this machine dedicated to the European market that will feature a higher degree of automation.
Despite the tough situation of the retreading business especially in Europe, TRM finished the year 2015 with positive results. A key project in 2015 was related to the partnership between Marangoni and Leader Rubber Company, with the supply of two buffing Eagle Truck 3000 buffing machines, three Black Swan cushion gum applicators and two Constrictor 3000 precured tread builders to the A&TT
New Sizes for Galgo´s VT OTR Design
Galgo has launched a new OTR tread tyre size for one of its best known designs for OTR retreading applications. The Versa Tread (VT) design will be available in 470 millimetre width, with 31 millimetre tread depth, and with a 1092 millimetre length segment. With this addition Galgo’s OTRead is now available widths: 470, 522 & 610 millimetres.
The VT design is one of the best choices for OTR tyre retreaders and transport companies in the mining, construction and most of severe tyre applications, offering excellent performance in terms of cut and chip
resistance for tyre sizes such as 20.5-25 or 21.00-35. The VT provides a large contact area with the road for better mileage and superb traction, self-cleaning and a rock ejection pattern to protect the casing.
