The VL130 ECO was
the first tread from
South America, in 2014, to be verified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and receive the SmartWay Transport seal. The project encourages carriers to use products that provide fuel economy and reduced emissions. The efficiency of the VL130 ECO can be

proven by cases from around the world. Meanwhile, the VT170 ECO, which is designed for freight transport vehicles, was verified this year. This tread is recommended for drive axles and has high traction power on wet surfaces, and greater resistance to abrasion wear.
 Vipal Rubber recently participated in another important international exhibition: the 2015 Expotransporte Anpact, which was held from November 18 to 20 at Expo Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico. The event was held in a venue measuring 51,000 m2 (550,000 ft2) and included more than 330 exhibitors dealing with the transportation sector. Vipal’s goal was to further reinforce its participation in the Mexican market, highlighting its complete tyre retreading solution, including its two
SmartWay-verified products: the VL130 ECO and VT170 ECO treads. The Mexican market is very important to Vipal, which is currently working to expand its Authorised Dealer Network in the region. “We’re investing in strengthening the brand in this region, which is why this event was a great opportunity to create closer ties with our existing partners and also seek new business and expand our activity in the Mexican market,” underlined Jean Barros, Vipal’s Business Coordinator for Mexico and
Alemanha Pneus Joins Tipler Dealer Network
Tipler has announced that Alemanha Pneus of Uruçuí, Piauí, has become the latest addition to the Tipler Network. The company, which has been active in the market for six years says it had sought the support of a strong brand to support its presence in the retreading segment. Profitability and independence were claimed to be the main reasons for entering the Tipler Network.
"The broad portfolio of products,
which allows us to meet all market needs, and take advantage of management tools for both the retreader, and for the fleet owner, were decisive factors in our choice," commented Alemanha Pneus owner, Leandro de Souza Dias.
Tipler has been active in the retreading market for and claims to be the only supplier to with 100% of its dealers operating under the Inmetro Standard.
