precured tread: DV-RT4. Designed exclusively by the brand, the DV-RT4 is ideal for use in drive axles.
Vipal’s DV-RT4 tread offers excellent traction power and high mileage due to its greater contact area with the ground. It is indicated for drive axles on paved highways and transport services that require high performance from tyres. The new design provides excellent resistance to abrasion and homogeneous wear until the end of its service life. It also offers greater adherence on wet roads and excellent water drainage. Another distinguishing feature is the markers, which indicate the tread cut region on the tyre itself, assisting the retreader to obtain a better splice finish.
“It is increasingly common to see higher horsepower trucks along the highways worldwide. AcuTread Retread Gets SmartWay Verification
The AcuTread Alliance Group FED 20/32nd drive tread is now verified
under the provisions of the federal EPA SmartWay program, the company said. SmartWay verification is pending for AcuTread low- profile wide-
base drive and trailer retreads. “The precision manufacturing process and operational advantages of mold cure retreading are now available in a SmartWay verified drive retread,” said Bob Majewski, technical director of the AcuTread Alliance Group. “AcuTread remanufactured retreads are produced under strict processing guidelines by authorized AcuTread Licensees.”
