     TREADS
      ContiRe City Service for Waste Management Sector
Hanover. In hot retreading compared to new tyres significantly lower amounts of valuable resources are consumed as natural rubber. Using a unique rubber recycling process material is devulcanised in an innovative process and reused in new compound mixes, creating significant savings and waste reduction.
The ContiRe City Service HA3 has a wear analysis indicator (VAI), which helps to detect any axial misalignments early. In addition, the premium tyre has sidewall wear indicators and an M + S marking. Like all Continental tyres is the ContiRe City Service is built on a special premium carcass, its
patented AirKeep® inner core prevents gradual loss of pressure
For best traction in a particularly challenging environment of ContiRe City Service HD3 was developed for the drive axle. Its block pattern is non-directional, the tyre with two reinforced sidewalls can therefore be used flexibly on both sides of the vehicle. The ContiRe City Service HD3 also features a special section web, which ensures extra stability when cornering. The retreaded tyre warranty is the same as that of any of Continental’s new tyres.
The ContiRe City service Tyre HA3 and HD3 are now available as 315/80 R 22.5 295/80 R 22.5 coming soon.
      Continental has launched two new hot cure retreads. The ContiRe City Service HA3 for all axles and the HD3 for drive axles. The new ContiRe City Service has been designed for use in waste disposal fleets and offers maximum robustness and high durability to meet the rigorous demands of the segment.
With the new ContiRe City Service Continental offers its first hot retreaded tyres which have been developed exclusively for the waste collection sector.
The extremely demanding conditions in this application are considered by the design of the ContiRe City Service HA3, which offers maximum robustness and flexible application on all axles. The hot cure compound used is designed to be wear resistant and the pattern is styled for working in the waste environment.
Waste collection vehicles face some
specific requirements;
tight turns, frequent
acceleration and braking, maneuvering in confined spaces and repeatedly
driving up and driving over curbs demand a great deal from
the tyres. To meet these special
requirements in daily work, Continental
has developed the ContiRe City Service HA3, a tyre with innovative tread structure and a specially formulated rubber compound with the optimal robustness and durability of the tyre guaranteed. Moreover, the tread profile has no directionality, so the ContiRe City Service HA3 is flexible for use on all axles. This also enables both reinforced sidewalls to be used to their maximum efficiency by turning the tyres around to expose both sidewalls to the kerbs and abrasions in turn.
In view of the recyclability and sustainability, which play an important role in the field of waste management, especially, the ContiRe City Service HA3 sets a good example.
