The company has a similar approach when it comes to the OTR packages, giving options to its customers who may be interested in start- up small size OTR tyre retreading plant packages, such as Smartpack or the more sophisticated orbitread plant packages. The most recent orbitread line of equipment includes the REX series of CNC Buffers with peeling/buffing/extruder building/re- grooving(cut tread) functions (AKR510 REX and AKR630 REX). Relative to its alternatives, Akar’s REX line of equipment is well structured and is heavy-duty machinery able to process big OTR tyre sizes. The
processing time of peeling/buffing/extruder building/regrooving functions is the quickest allowing customers to process more tyres in a single shift. Similar to truck tyre retreading, Akar offers turn-key and hassle-free solutions to its customers as a single source of equipment including tyre stands, repair stations, buffers and autoclaves.
Autoclave manufacturing is also a key operation at Akar and handled by a separate project group within the company. In addition to tyre retreading, Akar offers autoclaves for composite, glass, building material, and rubber industries. The company is currently undertaking a large size composite autoclave project for
Turkey’s national airline, Turkish Airlines, to be established at the country’s second biggest airport in Istanbul.
Akar is exhibiting at the Essen Reifen Show at the end of May 2014 and will be displaying its two main CNC Buffers for truck tyres (AKR 240C and AKR240HCX).
