  Two New Treads from Bandag
High-quality premium retreads are the cornerstone of Bridgestone’s newly developed Total Tyre Life strategy. As the world’s largest retread brand, Bandag now becomes Bridgestone Europe’s sole
and wet roads, as well as stable and silent running.
Compared with its predecessor, the BDU(E), the new Bandag BDU2 delivers up to 20 per cent more life,
while its M+S pattern generates excellent
traction and braking performance on dry and wet
roads, providing truly all-seasons safety. Extra on- board comfort
comes with the special low-noise
generating pattern design. With their J-
speed rating (100 km/h), the BDU2 are also
suitable for higher-speed
intercity transport. The BDU2 treads will
   premium retread brand. As part of this branding strategy, the current Bridgestone-branded pre-cured tread
products will gradually be phased out in favour of Bandag- branded products. As the first step in this process, the Bridgestone- branded M729EVO will be discontinued, and replaced with even better performing Bandag-branded M729EVO.

The Bandag M729EVO product is M+S marked, M-speed rated (130km/h) and features the convex block design, reducing stress at the block edges and dramatically cutting down the heel and toe wear.
The Bandag M729EVO will be available in different sizes, allowing Bandag dealers to retread the most common casings used within
this segment.

new urban drive tread in the
form of the BDU-2, which
offers top performance,
safety and comfort in one
package.
City buses and other urban
traffic vehicles, such as
waste collection trucks are
exposed to a violent
working life: short turns,
frequent stop-and-go’s,
curbs, narrow streets,
potholes, irregular loads
and changing road surface
types, imposing specific requirements towards tyre
quality and robustness.
