       Moreflex Introduces New Logo
Schmidt Moldes Strengthens its Brand Profile
For over 20 years, Moreflex has been dedicated to the production of treads and other products for retreading. More than two decades of evolution, always showing the quality and excellence of their work, investing in research, development and innovating in technology for the
creation of more effective products. In this continuous process of transformation, the company logo also deserved special attention, since it is the identity of the company for the entire market and also needed to evolve. The brand, it was decided, should reflect the history and modernity of Moreflex and mirror the company's progress. The choice of the new logo was a shared task, the company deciding that the opinion of their collaborators and customers was vital. So in July 2013, the company launched a poll on the internet. Co- ordinated by Innovax BBN, an international branding consultancy, employees, customers and the press voted to choose the new logo.
All voting was done through a website developed especially for the action whilst the manufacturing employees of Moreflex gave their opinion in urns installed in the factories. In the plants, the whole process was coordinated by the company’s HR and marketing
departments.
“Besides the logo, the slogan of the company has also evolved, becoming a phrase much more comprehensive than the previous one,” explained the company. “When we speak of ‘More Life, More Gain’ we are talking about more life to your tyre, more life for society as a whole and for nature (since the more tyres are retreaded, less used tyres are discarded). And when we talk about more gain, more gain is the cost per mile of the tyre for fleets, more gain for the retreader partner of Moreflex and more gain for society. That is the vision of Moreflex. This is how we evolve.”

Bridgestone Bandag Attends 34th Truck Driver Fair
Bridgestone Bandag has participated in the 34th Truck Driver Fair, the most traditional transport sector event in Brazil, which attracts truck drivers from all over the country. The event is held annually at the Basilica of Aparecida in São Paulo State, in celebration of the month of the truck driver, held in July, and this year it took place between the 10th and 13th of this month. During the fair, the company carried out the Bridgestone Truck Stop, an initiative that offers truckers a chance to discover the condition of their vehicle through evaluation by professionals from the BTS network, addressing the importance of preventive maintenance of the truck. In addition, drivers can purchase the products and services available in the BTS units, which include lubrication, brake systems, electrical systems, accessories, alignment, balancing and suspension.
At its booth, Bridgestone Bandag also provided a space for presentation, which discussed the precautions that can be taken to reduce the factors that “steal” the performance of the tyres, the so- called "5 KM Thieves": Incorrect alignment and balancing, pressure control, and design of band pairing inadequate factors that cause premature tyre wear and loss of mileage over the life of the tyre.
The Fair is always held in the month of July, and was consecrated as the largest meeting point for truck drivers. The first official event “Wagoners Week” took place in July 1976 in the Exhibition Park of Guaratinguetá in São Paulo State, and after a few years moved to other cities. Since 1996, the event has been standardised, gained a new format and has been held in the courtyard of the National Shrine in the city of Aparecida.
