consumer of its products. Similar importance extends to Fate, the leading tyre manufacturer in Argentina, which has marketed its products in the country exclusively through Fate Tires Brazil in partnership with Vipal.
The results demonstrate a good time in this market. The 2013 season should close with very positive numbers compared to last year. According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), forecasts indicate that the main agricultural crops have seen a significant increase in production. The
production of cane sugar will be higher than the previous year, from 670 million tons in 2012 to over 736 million tons planned for this year, an increase of 9.84 per cent. The soybean harvest is also a good example of this increased productivity, with more than 65 million tons of grain being collected last year. The expectation for 2013 is a crop about 23 per cent higher, and should reach nearly 81 million tons. Besides these crops, others like corn, wheat, rice and beans also show an excellent performance in 2013.
Vipal and Fate’s brands offer a wide range of products and services for the agribusiness, from retreading up to new tyres.
