B&J’s New AIRBOT® Series in Production
standard practices and procedures to make moving to the system extremely simple. All customer data is easily accessible so it can integrate with not only TCS’s TirePower software, but with most point of sale systems.
TreadTracks workstations and mobile interfaces are rugged and made for a global workforce. They utilise a unique multilingual interface, allowing workers to operate in their native language, further reducing errors in the production process.
“By leveraging our Cloud technology, we take the worries of server management, software upgrades, and patches off of our customer’s minds and allow them
to focus on managing their operation,” said Barry Reese, TCS President. “They’ll always have the latest software. The last thing any plant manager wants is for their operations to be stopped while they’re trying to troubleshoot technology problems.” Management features of the system include but are not limited to production scheduling, tracking of raw materials, production and fleet reports, rar tracking, and many more. Users of the system will be allowed to track tyres through their retreading facility with bar code scanners, print labels at each checkpoint, and utilise long term tracking with the use of RFID tags.
B&J Rocket has begun manufacturing the successor to its globally established B&J RFBOT buffing tool.
It began at this
year’s Reifen
fair in
Essen,
Germany when the
Swiss company presented the prototypes of the new Airbot® series for the first time. More efficiency, considerably shorter buffing times and longer lifetime due to better cooling were the arguments that convinced the visitors at the booth and led to the first pre-orders. Now that production has started as planned, delivery will start shortly. However, the development at B&J did not end after Essen. Further
improvements have been incorporated into the production process. The already ‘aggressive’ design and its functions have been refined even more and the
mounting of the Carbide tool has been
upgraded from a conventional
round hole
with thread
to a more powerful hexagon socket.
"This provides a much better grip without any slip”, Andreas Müller, Managing Director of B&J Rocket, explained. The company sees the continuous development and optimisation as part of its globally introduced Quality Plus campaign. Müller is convinced: “The new Airbot® series will be a hit.”

TCS Unveils New Retread Plant Management System
TCS Technologies announced its new cloud-based TreadTracks retread plant management at the ITEC 2012 Show, in Cleveland, Ohio. The system, which manages the retread process from the time the tyre is picked up through to the finished delivery, is an enterprise grade system handling operations from 1 to 100+ locations and gives unprecedented visibility as to how to most efficiently manage your retread plant.
TreadTracksTM uses an advanced touchscreen desktop and mobile interfaces to simplify the process
for the end user and speed the flow of information throughout the system. By leveraging the interconnected components, managers can see in real-time the productivity of each aspect of their operations at each
plant worldwide.
“As TCS has been implementing TreadTracks to our beta partners, we have received a high level of interest about the instantaneous feedback to everyone from the shop floor to upper management,” said Shawn Puckett, TCS’s Director of Business Development. “This enables companies to solve problems before they occur, make better decisions, and manage their supply chain much quicker and more efficiently than they have ever been able to do.”
