This press has a very modern system of rubber feed rolls and is much more accurate, flatter, compact and homogeneous to create a much more balanced retread tyre, thereby providing total satisfaction and fulfillment of customer needs worldwide.
In addition the company has installed a HASS branded computerized numerical control machine (CNC), offering a high RPM with incredible speed and precision and small range tolerances. This allows for the best finish and maximum efficiency in the manufacture of moulds for the company’s PRE-Q tread rubber. It features a 24-position tool holder, and a very fast changer, which optimises the manufacturing time, quality and finish in the moulds.
Galgo produces 20 moulds for different applications and markets such as super singles, bus and coach, light truck, mud and snow, mixed service and severe service Lately, the company has installed a German cold feed extruder from Berstorff, which has the most advanced technology in the design of its extruder screw, which optimises the production of rubber strips in any of the compounds needed. In addition, this machine is operated by computer, allowing total control in the extrusion speed and the progress of the strip. In addition to the different sizes and dimensions of the manufacture of rubber strips, this extruder will also facilitate the production of rubber in the form of blocks (lugs).

During 2012 Galgo will open a new Logistics and Distribution Center, next to the production factory, which will extend the storage capacity, and will allow the company to supply directly and more efficiently to many retreaders all over the world.
