equipment available, for testing, quality control and development. “Adding or increasing capacity is
a continuous process and the expansion is just not limited to tread rubber alone. We expand vertically and horizontally in stages, and we have put up a strong infrastructure to support that” says Managing Director, Mr. Ajit Patil.
In order to meet the demand for quality, capacity, product range and depth, Mahant is pumping in investment to its manufacturing facility. The firm has added one more intermixer of 275 litres to
its already
existing stable
of 2
intermixers.
“This particular
investment will
have a double
edge impact,
one pertaining
to capacity and
the other will
improve the
blend of our
rubber
compound thus
realizing consistent quality, ultimately helping us in our endeavour to satisfy our customers” informs Mr. Yashwant Katte - G. M (Operations).
In addition to a range of tread rubber and allied products Mahant is also pushing hard on its range of repair materials. The brand VULTEC – tyre and tube repair patches has been registered under the copyright act is claimed to be making progress in the domestic and international market.
Gauging the buoyancy of the market, Mahant has built a whole new factory measuring 24000 sq feet spearheaded by Sudhir Tomar – ex Unipatch Rubbers Ltd., who commented ‘’We have improved our production systems in line with the world's best and I am sure we will catch up and exceed the expectations of the market in terms of product depth and quality.”
With a large product range and significant capacity Mahant is exploring opportunities in both the domestic and international markets. The company claims to have made made interesting
advances and major breakthroughs in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Orissa in the domestic market as well as in international markets like the European Union, Middle East, and Africa, which have yielded results in excess of expectations. The company's latest achievement has been in its agreement with CEAT who will be sourcing tread rubber and repair materials produced by Mahant for domestic and international sales.
