Vipal Rubber is expanding its partnership with Honda, the leading name in Brazil’s motorcycle industry, by equipping two of Honda’s models with its original tyres.
Second Honda Model Fitted with Vipal Rubber in Brazil
The collaboration began in June 2023 when the Honda CG 160 Fan started coming off the line with Vipal tyres. Now, this partnership has extended to include the Pop 110i model.
The Pop 110i, manufactured in Brazil, will now come with Vipal’s Street ST300 tyres, joining the Honda CG 160 Fan, fitted with Vipal’s Street ST600. Notably, the Pop 110i uses tube-type tyres, showcasing Vipal’s ability to offer a variety of tyre technologies.
Felipe Henzel, the manager of Vipal Rubber’s Two-Wheeled Business Unit, highlighted the significance of Honda’s endorsement. It solidifies the reputation of Vipal’s products, which are already well-known in the aftermarket, and demonstrates Vipal’s technological flexibility to meet different needs.
The Honda Pop 110i is one of the brand’s best-selling models, reflecting the growth of the motorcycle segment in Brazil. The Brazilian Association Abraciclo reported an 11.3% increase in motorcycle production and a 16.2% rise in sales in 2023. With the two-wheeler market expected to continue its strong performance in 2024, Vipal is preparing to expand its production capacity to meet demand.
Since entering the two-wheeler market in 2012, Vipal views its partnership with Honda as a significant achievement. Vipal’s motorcycle tyres, produced in Feira de Santana, Bahia, are known for their quality, safety, and durability.
