Tim Hercock, the former Managing Director of UK retreader Vaculug Ltd, has died suddenly, in what is believed to have been a serious quad biking accident.
Former Vaculug MD Passes Away
Hercock was at the helm of the Grantham-based retreader from 2002 to 2020 and more recently was managing director of family business and Leicestershire builders’ merchants William Hercock Ltd. He was, for several years, Chairman of the UK’s Retread Manufacturer’s Association and was also Leicestershire’s High Sheriff between 2019 and 2020.
John Chatfield-Roberts, the High Sheriff of Leicestershire for 2024 to 2025, said that he was “deeply saddened” by Hercock’s death. He said: “High Sheriff in 2019-20, he was a glass half-full man, seriously competent and widely loved.”
Hercock leaves his wife, Sara and son Ned. We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
