Gurugram based Shri Bala ji Tyre & Tread has been working with JK Tyre for the last decade as an independent retreader but converted to a dedicated JK Retread Center as recently as last December. In the meantime, the retreader has also invested in new plant machinery and revamped the whole plant.

Revamp at Plant to Increase Producitivity

“We have replaced the old machinery with a new 7 tyre autoclave, inspection spreader, nail hole detector, buffing machine, skiving station etc,” informed Sunny Kapoor, Director, Shri Bala ji Tyre & Tread.

According to Kapoor, the new JKRC centre has recorded a spike in volumes post conversion with production up by almost 30% on monthly basis. “We had been retreading about 600-700 tyres in a month earlier, but production increased to 1,000 tyres per month after becoming a JKRC centre,” he said.

On the advantages of operating as a JKRC centre, Kapoor said, “It is easy to convince a customer about being a JKRC. Moreover, it is a new plant using the latest machinery, and the fleet owner is also convinced after having seen the plant.” The plant consumes about 9 tons of JK tread each month.

Shri Bala ji caters to an are of 80 km in radius, covering auto hub and major transport cents like Gurugram, Bilaspur, Manesar, Dharuhera, Bhiwadi, Patuadi and Bahadurgarh.
