On 22 January, the latest VMI Service Centre located in Chon Buri Province, Thailand, was officially opened by Mr Riaan Diener, VP of VMI Global Services, and Mr Aart van der Pol, Regional Manager Customer Service Asia, in the presence of employees and invitees.

New Asian Investment for VMI

The opening of the Thailand facility underlines VMI’s commitment to building an organisation of global supply, supported by a local service network. The Thailand facility is the 9th service centre and is strategically placed to serve VMI’s global customer base in a quick and efficient manner.

The Thailand centre employs engineers who can support the local customers of VMI, and is fully equipped with the specialised tooling required for servicing VMI mechanical drums. The drum service operation returns drums to their original condition complete with full warranty. VMI’s resident technical experts offer a very short turnaround to provide customers with a unique competitive service.

Riaan Diener commented: “Our local Thai and Chinese speaking engineers are highly trained to ensure that our customers can optimise the total cost of ownership of VMI equipment by benefiting from a wide range of service solutions that VMI offers. These include training packages, service programs, drum overhauls as well as retrofits and upgrades”.
