TRANSITION AT ANRE COLOMBIA: A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

   In a significant development within the Colombian tyre retreading sector, March 2024 announced
Mr Hernando Díez Vargas’s departure from his longstanding role as the Executive President of the Colombian Association of Tyre Retreaders and Related Industries (ANRE Colombia). Mr. Díez Vargas, who has been at the helm of ANRE for an impressive tenure, is set to transition into an advisory role within the association.
Mr. Díez Vargas shared insights into his new consultancy role, aiming to leverage his vast experience to guide the association through the complex landscape of legal, fiscal, accounting, and la- bour aspects integral to ANRE’s operations. This strategic move is intended to ensure the continued prosperity and adherence to the industry’s best practices under the new leadership.
As of April 1, 2024, the association officially announced this lea- dership change, coupled with a heartfelt farewell letter from Mr. Díez Vargas, reflecting on his 17-year journey with ANRE. His te- nure was marked by relentless efforts to elevate the association’s national and international standing, striving to establish it as a bea- con in both governmental and private sectors.
AN INSTRUMENTAL LEADER
Mr. Díez Vargas’s leadership was instrumental in championing the virtues of the tyre retreading industry - emphasising safety, quality, and the reduction of operational costs in cargo and passenger trans- portation. Furthermore, his advocacy for the industry’s commitment to the Circular Economy highlighted its environmental contributions, underscoring the sustainability ethos that ANRE embodies.
Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support and dedica- tion of the ANRE community, Mr Díez Vargas underscored the collaborative spirit that has been pivotal to the association’s achievements. His acknowledgement of the board’s trust and the members’ commitment to ANRE’s mission resonated with the co- llective ambition to drive the industry forward.
