SHOW SEASON IS HERE
As we come into May and June, we’re excited to attend the upcoming TyreExpo Asia, Bangkok and THE TIRE COLOGNE. It’s always an ex- cellent opportunity for the industry to get together; it’s the same for us. As you’ll see from the plethora of Country Reports from across the globe in this edition, in many countries the retreading industry is growing in both strength and size. In others, it’s facing significant challenges. However, we know that the retreading industry is resi- lient and tenacious. With a global community, there is an opportunity for all of us to learn from each other to help improve the perception and expansion of the industry. Events like these allow us to connect in person with people we wouldn’t normally in everyday life. This can bring new insights, sales opportunities or key collaborations.
In this edition, apart from various global updates, we take a deep dive into Southeast Asia, with a look at the state of retreading in the in- dustry and an interview with Sun Rubber’s Steven Gan. We also take a look at Continental’s new Retreading Centre in South Carolina, an exciting step in the US retreading market.
We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in Thailand and Germany in the coming weeks!
