 Italmatic have announced the acquisition of Intact shearography assets from ZEISS, which include drawings, software, e-plans, brand name and IP rights.
According to Dr. Massimo Ghitturi, CEO of Italmatic, this is a further essential step to consolidate Italmatic’s status as a glo- bal leader in retreading equipment and accessories, both in terms of high techno- logy and completeness of the range. The acquisition of Intact shearography busi- ness allows Italmatic to also penetrate the
new tyre industry.
The Intact shearography 1360-X is an es- pecially important element of Italmatic’s future Shearography portfolio. It needs just 55 seconds for the inspection of a complete tyre from bead to bead, inclu- ding the loading and unloading operation. It is one of the fastest single machines in the world especially developed to optimi- se quality control in the manufacturing of new tyres but, of course, also for large re- treading plants.
