RECIRCLE AWARDS
A Celebration of Sustainability in the Tyre Sector
In 2020 the inaugural Recircle Awards was launched with a view to creating an event that recognised excellence in the tyre retreading and recycling industries and celebrated the vital role that both sectors play in the Circular Economy.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are proud to say that the inaugural event was a success. The forty- minute award ceremony, which was hosted virtually on Facebook and Youtube on 15 March last year, was watched by nearly 5,000 people across the two platforms, in addition to which there have been over 200,000 paid views on Facebook.
In total, over 9,000 votes were cast across the 18 awards engagement in the voting process being received from all corners of the globe.
This year, however, we are taking the event a step further. In addition to the virtual award ceremony, scheduled for April 25, in-person presentation of the awards will also be made during award ceremonies to be held at the Tire Cologne on 24 May, 2022 after the Global Retreading Conference, and at Autopromotec
in Bologna two days later on 26 May following the Future of Retreading and Recycling Conference.
In addition, we are delighted to reveal the newly designed Recircle Award trophies for 2022. Manufactured out of crumb rubber derived from scrap tyres, they have been designed by Spanish tyre recycling enterprise, Neusus Upcycling. Our thanks to them for the beautiful design they have created.
Thanks also to our main sponsors, Autopromotec, as well as to
our partners and collaborators, Enviro, Marangoni, Pyrum, Vipal, Forrec, MAE, VM Rubber, Presti Industries, Tech and Tinna Rubber for their valued support.
