On Wednesday, August 24 of the current the Colombian Tyre Retreading Industry anniversary of the Colombian Association of Tyre Retreaders and Related Industries – ANRE. With a participation of 91 attendees, the main purpose was to join efforts for the strengthening and integration of the indus- try. The event was held at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel located in the city of Bogota and attracted the participation of key play- ers from across the industry, including tyre producers, tyre retreading companies, tyre marketers, suppliers, and governmental and state entities, among others.
The event presented topics of interest such as global and national statistics, cost struc- tures, and government policies for the in- dustry, and involved the participation of entities such as the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Nation- al Planning Department and the National Learning Service – SENA. In addition, the event offered socialising opportunities for comments and contributions that allowed for analysis of the productivity of the in- dustry in order to boost competitiveness through each participant in the market.

jective is to identify the needs of individu- als, companies, and organisations, ensuring atmosphere which encouraged the commit- ment, communication, and creativity of the attendees. The presentation provided tools to transform the attitude, commitment and energy of all attendees into a highly moti- vated and organisational culture.
During its 15 years of existence, ANRE has maintained a willingness and interest in the policies generated by the State for the industry, with the sole objective of the sus- tainability and growth of all companies in the sector. During the event, the Associa- tion announced that it had made the crucial - ate of Aliadas, an alliance of trade associa-
tions in Colombia. Aliadas brings together 16 leading business associations from dif- ferent sectors of the economy including representatives of manufacturing, agribusi- ness, gastronomy, health, pharmaceuticals, technology, logistics, sustainable mobility, compensation funds, media, and services, among others. They also represent about 6,000 companies and around 2 million jobs in Colombia.
ANRE commented on the event by saying; The great success obtained by this gather- members, and therefore ANRE is pleased to contribute to the union and strengthening of the industry.” ANRE now aims to repeat the event at least every two years.
