Since 2017, Elsie Álvarez has been the Executive Director of the Association of Tyre Dealers
and Retreaders of Costa Rica, otherwise known as ACOLLRE, and of the Costa Rican Ecological Foundation for the Recycling of Rubber and Waste Tyres, FUNDELLANTAS. She is a woman who
has earned enormous respect and admiration for her commitment, tenacity, and perseverance for
the development of the tyre retreading and recycling sectors in her country. Our Latin American correspondent Daniel Rojas Enos had the pleasure of meeting Elsie at the Tyre Renovators (Retreaders) subcommittee of the Latin American Society of Rubber Technologies (SLTC) and was able to carry out the following interview:
