the Tyre Recycling Sector was awarded to Giovanni Corbetta, the recently retired CEO of Italian EPR Scheme, Ecopneus.
During their presentations, the organisers thanked both shows for their support in hosting the award ceremonies as well as all sponsors, media partners and partner/ collaborators including Neusus Upcycling, who designed and manufactured the Re- circle Awards trophies, which this year were fashioned out of recycled crumb ru- bber from End-of-Life-Tyres and recycled copper.
During the ceremony the presenters con- gratulated all the winners of the Recircle Awards, including those who were not able to make it to the ceremony, as we- ll as all the shortlisted candidates. They represent the very best our industry has to offer. They also took time to explain to outline to the audience what it takes to win a Recircle Award. The answer, they said, lay in engagement in the whole of the process.
“Yes, it is necessary for the winners to why we engage a 15-strong nominations committee,” they said, “but at the end of the day, the Recircle Awards is a competi- tion, which has been designed to enthuse the tyre retreading and recycling indus-

Following the Awards events, David Wil- son, Publisher of Retreading Business and
Tyre & Rubber Recycling commented: “We have waited almost two years to be able to carry out the physical award ceremonies, and we are delighted at the amount of engagement and support we received from across the industry. We will now take time to analyse the results of our second annual event before announcing plans for the Third Recircle Awards.”
