The Tire Industry Association (TIA) Board has announced that it elected Keith Jarman, president of AME International in Brooksville, Fla., as secretary on June 23 during its summer Board meeting in South Dakota.
A TIA Board member for nine of the past 12 years, Jarman’s election places him in line to become the Association’s president in 2023-2024. He currently chairs the Board’s Membership Committee.
“It’s an honour to be recognised by my peers,” Jarman said. “I’ve had the pleasure of watching the Association help to transform the tyre industry and I’m looking forward to joining a great group on our Executive Board during the next four years.”
Jarman founded AME in 2007 after spending 14-plus years in the tyre equipment industry. The company supplies tyre service tools, accessories and shop equipment globally, including a broad range of tyre changing tools and accessories such as bead breakers, heavy duty mining jacks, abrasives, inflation and torque solutions and truck tyre accessories. AME regularly participates and supports TIA training out in the field.
Jarman is a recognised authority
on tyre bead-breaking tools and equipment for changing construction and earthmover/OTR tyres.
“The election of Keith as secretary is exciting for the Association,” said TIA CEO Roy Littlefield. “He has consistently supported TIA’s training programmes for years, is a generous sponsor of our events and programmes and brings a wealth of experience to the position, including as a long-time Board member and successful businessman. He has his pulse on the industry and the needs of TIA’s 13,000 members including independent tyre dealers, suppliers and manufacturers.” Jarman will begin his year as secretary in November and will move through the various officer positions until he becomes president.
