Galgo Obtains ESR Distinction for Tenth Consecutive Year

Galgo has announced that it has achieved the ESR corporate social responsibility distinction for the tenth successive year. The award was confirmed on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 at a virtual ceremony during the Latin American Meeting of Socially Responsible Companies, where qualifying body CEMEFI announced all of the companies that met the necessary standards to achieve the ESR® 2021 distinction.
To obtain this recognition, participating companies must go through a self-diagnosis process
that is documented and verified by CEMEFI whereby applicants are qualified under five main areas: SR Management, Life Quality, Business Ethics, Community Engagement, and Environmental Care
By obtaining this distinction for the 10th consecutive year, reaffirms its commitment to always work by its values and business ethics, always looking out for the common good and in the interests of collaborators, the environment and society as a whole.
Vaculug Invests in
New Forklift Programme
UK based retreader Vaculug Ltd has announced a £500,000 investment in a new forklift programme, purchasing 11 forklift trucks from Linde Material Handling.
This investment in new forklift trucks, which are planned arrive in early autumn, will further support the expansion of the business and assist Vaculug with their #SustainableThinking focus for this year by saving energy and
reducing carbon emissions.
A spokesperson for Vaculug commented, “This new investment shows our commitment to improving our equipment and operations whilst reducing our carbon emissions. Regularly improving the quality of our plant means that tasks can continue to be carried out to a high standard allowing us to deliver the best possible service to our customers.”

Vipal Rubber is celebrating an important milestone in 2021: 15 years of operations in Eastern Europe. With a Distribution Centre in Slovenia since 2006, Vipal also has a branch office in Europe. Approximately 50 local customers are supplied with Vipal treads, as well other tyre retreading products and tyre repairs of the brand, in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, the Balkans and the Baltic nations.
"Since we set up inventories in Europe in 2006, countries like the Czech Republic have always been our priorities. Firstly, because of its people, then the high retreading rate and great acceptance of retreaded tyres, also because the excellent quality of the local retreaders and their technology,” commented Fabricio Nedeff, Commercial Manager at Vipal Europe. “Our

One of the main suppliers of the Eastern European transport segment, Carling s.r.o, from Brno, in the Czech Republic, illustrates Vipal's strong performance in the region. Carling has been one of Vipal´s commercial partners for 11 years and Vipal Rubber is considered one of its three biggest suppliers. “The main reason is the above-standard business conditions, a result of the long- standing partnership. The most popular products are the tread line for regional tyres and for civil construction. We believe that the European Union's support for the circular economy will increase turnover for both companies”, commented Ivo Lojda, Logistics Manager at Carling.
