Remusa Acquires First Vipal Machine in Europe

Silvercap, the fast-growing Brazilian tread rubber manufacturer, is looking to implement a global expansion strategy including South America, Central America, Africa and Europe. This was revealed in an exclusive interview carried out recently with Joao Carlos Paludo, the CEO of the ADR Group, the holding company which owns the Silvercap brand.
“We are looking to expand in all South American countries with the exception of Venezuela, which of course is due to the economic situation in that country,” said Paludo. “We are continuing to support the market
in Argentina and are also looking to several Central American markets. Beyond that, we have held good talks with potential customers in the Middle East, various European countries including Spain and in Mexico.” Paludo will be well known to many in the global retreading industry as a former President and CEO of the Vipal Group. As a son of Vicencio Paludo, Vipal’s founder, he talks eloquently about the values that his parents instilled in him and the legacy that they left within the industry.
