predecessor, Nokian Hakkapeliitta Truck E2 has better stability as well as grip in both deep and packed snow”, says Mr. Teppo Siltanen, Product Manager at Nokian Tyres. “Also, the grip lasts longer, thanks to some clever tread pattern features.” The Nokian Hakkapeliitta Truck E2 engineering highlights include peg siping that enables deeper reach, better worn grip and less tearing damage. Vipal VT560 Now in New Widths
Vipal has announced that its VT560 tread is now available in three new widths, 210, 230 and 240 mm. This new traction design is suitable for mixed use on paved and unpaved roads.
In order to assure versatile application and good adhesion on different types of terrain, the compound used on the VT560 has been optimized to guarantee excellent resistance
to abrasion. Its
construction
characteristics make
it an ideal tread for
severe applications,
offering great
traction power and
preventing tyre
damage, thereby
extending service
life.
The pattern features
variable depth
grooves to keep
objects from getting
embedded in the
tread. Meanwhile, interconnected blocks aim to provide greater resistance and support between the tread base and the block.
Another unique feature of the VT560 is the exclusive Eye Control technology, a wear indicator to identify tyre anomalies and suggest tyre rotation as well as the right time to remove the tyre for retreading.
