The Herne, Germany-based family business Reifen Stiebling is celebrating its 90th birthday. However, while it is celebrating, the eyes are already on the future.
The Herne family business maintains a special relationship with its employees. Company boss Christian Stiebling and his son Alexander not only made a lot of effort with the party to pay tribute to the employees - this has become obvious in recent years. The company offers its employees energy vouchers or bike leasing — the result of this approach: extremely low levels of staff turnover. The search for trainees is not difficult, but Stiebling wants to go one step further. Wherever necessary, the company will create housing for its employees.
This shows that Stiebling's gaze is firmly focused on the future in the year of its 90th anniversary. Electromobility is a hot topic in the automotive industry - Stiebling observes with a confident composure. Because one thing is clear: tyres would always be needed for cars. The range of services goes well beyond cars: Whether buses, trucks or forklifts, "we cover 95 per cent of what is black and round," said Christian Stiebling. He jokingly added that the only tyres missing are missing for Lego and Playmobil.
The tyre business may be traditional, but that does not mean that the mega-theme of recent years has passed Stiebling: digitisation. The employees on the assembly bays are equipped with tablets, the software for which Stiebling has developed himself.
Of course, appointments can be arranged via the website, and e- learning is also a topic. And the
online shop has long been one of the branches of the business.
