The 29th edition of Autopromotec in Bologna has been positive for MAE Industria Gomma - M.I.G. SRL -, the well-known Italian brand of retreading and new tyre and rubber consumables.

During the recent Autopromotec exhibition Retreading Business joined forces with exhibition organisers Promotec srl to host a new conference for the retreading industry focusing on some of the key challenges that the industry can be expected to face in the future. Entitled “The Future of Retreading” the conference was headed up by keynote speaker Harjeeve Kandhari, the CEO of the Zenises Group, which recently acquired the UK’s largest independent retreader Vacu- Lug. He was backed up by a series of thought-provoking presentations covering subjects from ranging from retreading for the circular economy to the impact of Chinese tyres and from the challenges of marketing the retreading industr y to the impact of automation on the equipment sector.
