TREADS
Recamic Works D Tread Pattern Available
Ringtread RTL SA 16/32”, which the company added to the XP Extreme Performance range of premium splice-less retreads, capable of reducing fleet operating cost by 20 per cent.
The RTL SA utilises a combination of Marangoni’s Ringtread technology and a compound to increase mileage, and reduce premature wear on tyres used on spread-axle, or multi-axle trailers, which are typically subject to wear when cornering, due to tyre drag and lateral stress, shoulder twist, scrapes, chipping, and tearing. The RTL SA was specifically designed and engineered to protect the tread
and the casing from these kinds of issues and to increase the life of the tyres.
The prize was received by Bill Sweatman, General Manager of Marangoni Tread North America, and Giampaolo Brioschi, Marangoni Corporate R&D Director.
“We're delighted to get this award as the competition represents the very best products in the truck sector. It’s worth emphasising this is the very first time this award has been given to a retread product,” said Brioschi.

BEGINNING OUR FIFTH DECADE OF TRUSTED SUPPLY
The K801
Kraiburg has announced that a further nine designs from their tread range have now successfully passed the 3PMSF test and are therefore approved as winter retreads with immediate effect. The patterns in question are K16, K26, K43, K45, K50, K51, K203, K204, K213. The tests were conducted by the
Prüflabor Nord in January and February. Now, a total of 29 Kraiburg patterns can be labelled with the 3PMSF pictogram.
Two of the top sellers in the range are the patterns K701 and K801. The home-grown K701 traction design is a hea¬vily siped block- type retread with open shoulders. It ensures optimum transfer of traction forces in winter use. Not only does the K801 design convince by looking good, but its wings also provide resistance against lateral shearing forces. Designed for trailers, semi-trailers and tag axles, it exhibits a high performance in local and long-distance traffic.
“The test results prove again and again that our patterns are convincing in every aspect,” Christoph Priewasser, Product Manager at Kraiburg Austria says. “We are therefore confident that we will receive the 3PMSF certifi¬cate for new Kraiburg designs in the future.”
Marangoni Receives US Award for Ringtread RTL SA
