performance. The SL envelope is still well accepted in many price sensitive markets because of the cost per cure achieved.
Further progress is
being made with the
company’s new inner
envelope Millennium
S, which is growing in
demand. This product
can achieve a faster
vacuum because of its higher sidewall flap and better overall performance due to reinforcements in the bead.
For the past 40 years MAE has produced a range of bladders but recently the company has included
VMI at The Tire Cologne
bladders for the new tyre production. MAE will be pleased to present its range of bladders for the retreading sector and new tyre production at stand C16 / D19 in Hall 9 where a presentation will be made.
VMI will be exhibiting on stand number C-037 in Hall 9 at The Tire Cologne with automated solutions for the retreading process and will have a RETRAX with builder on display. The RETRAX employs VMI’s renowned cushion gum extrusion-smearing technology. The RETRAX with builder and stitcher automatically applies the tread to buffed tyre casings. This tread applicator is especially designed to deliver the
highest quality and highest productivity in the retreading industry.
The VMI Rubber team will be there to talk about VMI’s retreading technologies and can, help retreaders define suitable solutions for individual situations.
In addition, Coen Heukshorst, Sales Manager, will speak about automation in the retreading process during the Global Retreading Conference.
Lukatec to Demonstrate the Present and the Future of Tire Robotic Buffers at The Tire Cologne
MAE to Show Latest
Envelope and Bladder
Lukatec is the inventor of Tire Robotic Buffers and has more than 100 robots in operation. The fast growth of the company in recent years is supported by a strategy focused on innovation and development of robust and modular solutions.
A complete range of robots together with the modular concept allows the company to configure equipment according to different customers’ production needs. These are some of the reasons why Lukatec's technology has become a reference in large, medium and even in small size retreaders. Having different robot sizes offers the possibility of expressive production efficiency gains to all retread plant sizes.
In 2012 when Lukatec launched its first robot, it became clear that the tyre buffing process was just about to change. Today Robotic Buffers are a reality and Lukatec claims a position as the number one robot manufacturer for the tyre retreading industry. The experience and know-how in robotics led the company to a new level of engineering and automation developments and the results will be presented during the Tire Cologne 2018.
Lukatec will launch the 4th generation of Tire Robotic Buffers at the show. This new robot brings together the very best in robotics and is claimed to offer unparalleled efficiency gains. The robot is more
Innovations
MAE Industria Gomma will be glad to present its products, news and meet many visitors to the international exhibition The Tire Cologne in Hall 9.
During the event, guests will be able to hear the latest news about new products. These developments include the further expansion of the company’s compression moulded ST line of envelopes. In particular, the company has achieved improvements in
compounds to achieve improved stability, the ability to keep shape for longer as well as a better performance and longer life. Moulds have also been re- engineered in order to achieve perfect fitment.
This year the company will complete the ARC system range with missing sizes and has also recently upgraded its range of traditional type SL envelopes with a new compound offering better
precise, faster, robust, and provides unbeatable reduction of non- productive times. Another key factor of the project is energy efficiency.
With this new robot Lukatec is taking a large step forward. Robotics, Industrie 4.0/Internet of Things and Smart Production are a reality. Robotic Buffers are playing an important role in this shift towards networked, intelligent production. Lukatec will be exhibiting at The Tire Cologne 2018, Hall 9.1 - D20/D22.
