Bandag Launches Protread in South America
Protread, Bridgestone Bandag’s entry level precure tread brand, has now been launched in Brazil. Protread will sell at between 10 and 20 per cent lower than the conventional Bandag tread according to Brazil’s Transporte Press.
The Brazilian market expects that this will help Bandag retreaders
compete with the onslaught of cheaper Chinese tyres.
Bandag has been selling Protread in Europe and other markets since 2012, so this is a late entry into the market in South America.
