The tread rubber compound is used by our retread plant besides being supplied on the open market to about 10-15 retread plants in Sri Lanka,” revealed Rajitha Dharmasiri to Retreading Business during a visit to the plant.
The company is in touch with Indian retreaders and hopes to open the market soon. “We can
offer quality tread rubber at good prices as the cost of production is low due to lower labour costs in Sri Lanka compared to India,” he said. The company also has plans to grow beyond India into the markets of the Middle East and Africa. “We believe we have potential to grow in these markets,” he emphasised. The company hopes to enter these markets during the course of 2017.
