Oliver Introduces ORCO Trailer Retread
Oliver Rubber has announced the launch of the ORCO HS Trailer, a cost-efficient, trailer-position retread for regional and long-haul applications.
"The ORCO HS Trailer delivers a cost-efficient solution for single- and tandem-axle trailers in this new, modern Oliver product,"
said Adam Murphy, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. "It provides a winning combination of long, even wear and excellent wet traction for a variety of trailer applications."
The ORCO HS Trailer utilizes Oliver's exclusive tread feature called VDI Plus. This tread resists stone retention and other road debris and helps enforce any pull point schedule. It has a shallow tread depth of 11/32nds for cool running. It is available in four sizes: 205, 210, 220 and 230. All Oliver retreads carry a national warranty to 2/32nds of tread depth.

storage system, and each tyre that will come out from this plant is labeled in the cloud system – Supplier Information System storage, where we can keep tracking data on the tyre, including date of receipt, the date of retreading and the date of its shipment to the customer,” he added. According to him, in general, following years of operating Goodyear retreading in Russia, this product has already become very popular among Russian customers. Among the main clients of Goodyear, which are using the company’s retreads, Marchuk names Russia’s largest retailer Magnit and major logistic operators, including Business Line, SofTransAvto and SovEvroTrans. He believes that this proves the highest performance of
Krasnodar Krai, Volga Federal District and the Central Federal District. This allows us to be more flexible and responsive in relation to our customers and meet their stringent demands in terms of logistics and delivery of tyres. Also today we collect casings across the widest dealer network - Goodyear Truck Force with the help of our sales representatives [in provinces], and this is one of our competitive advantages in comparison with other retreading companies, because we can be close to every fleet in every city of the Russian Federation,” he concludes.
The new facility will have quite a broad range of tyres to offer. According to official company information, the product range of
and the very cool running properties of the compound are also kind on the casing. The longitudinal design is optimised for trailers, semi-trailers and tag axles, and this shows in its performance in local and long distance traffic.
New Designs from Kraiburg
Kraiburg Austria has announced the launch of a new city bus design, the K702 plus. Available now, the new drive profile boasts excellent traction and braking properties on account of its design. This is particularly noticeable in extreme weather conditions, such as on snow-covered and wet road surfaces. The use of the high-quality K_plus compound also ensures maximum mileage and optimum results, including even wear and consistently cool running. Kraiburg has also given the K702 plus an irregular tread geometry which guarantees low noise emission levels. "Our new tread achieves the targets pursued in its development in every respect, which were to combine lower running costs with increased safety and improved mileage," said Christoph Priewasser, Product Manager at Kraiburg Austria. "Because of its high quality and great value for money it is very attractive for regional use." The pattern will initially be available in 240 millimetre width, followed in the autumn by 230 and 260 millimetres.
Kraiburg has also announced an extension to the best-selling K801 design. Currently available in widths of 295, 305 and 320 millimetres, the pattern is also available in 335 millimetres. Not only does the K801 look good, but its wings also provide
resistance against lateral shearing forces. They also have roughened surfaces and therefore prevent the tread and casing from separating. The low movement of the K801 design
Goodyear retreaded tyres, since they are able to meet the strictest standards of customers.
He also says that the relatively broad network of authorised retreaders and the casing collecting system are the two main competitive advantages of the company in Russia. The last point also allows the company to not worry too much about the general lack of quality casings in the country’s market.
“Today, there is a network of authorised retreading companies of Goodyear deployed on the territory of
Goodyear Next Tread for the drive axles of trucks involves sizes 295/80 R 22.5; 315/80 R 22.5; 315/70 R 22.5 plus tyres for trailer axles 385/65 R 22.5. Also the range of truck tyres involves the Next Tread model KMAX D. It is available in size 315/70 R 22.5 and 315/80 R 22.5.
As a result of the commissioning of the new facility Goodyear now accounts for four certified partners for the retreading of truck tyres - in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and Tolyatti.
