B&J Rocket Gradually Launches EVO- Blades Range
fleets by regional or urban operators.
Designed to extend the life and performance of low-profile tyres for mega trailers the Bandag BRR-UWB treads are part of the "Total Tyre Life" developed by Bridgestone to assist operators by increasing performance and lowering total cost of tyres, throughout their life cycle. Bandag precure tread BRR-UWB will be available in sizes 445 / 45R19.5, 455 / 50R22.5 and 435 / 45R22.5.
Retreads are Comparable to New Tyres
When B&J Rocket first announced the development of new buffing blades at Reifen 2014, there was talk of an evolution. B&J had developed a new manufacturing process, through which the blades, outwardly almost unchanged, now work much more effectively. The individual teeth cut much more aggressively,
faster and remain sharp for a longer period. This in turn

the part of B&J was necessary because only a 100 per cent reliable product can be introduced to the market, explains Andreas Müller, President of B&J Rocket: "We see a clear responsibility towards our customers, and therefore, the new
EVO-Blades were initially
tested extensively in practice
worldwide." From these
tests B&J has obtained much valuable feedback and made
further improvements. Meanwhile, the EVO-Blades are in a ‘patent pending’ status and the company can demonstrate measurable results: On average, the new blades increase performance up to 25 per cent, in the peak up to 48 per cent. These are significant figures for Müller. "Now we can go on the market with the EVO-Blades in their different designs with confidence." Initially, the new blades are offered gradually in the US. More markets will follow progressively, depending on the blade type or region.

"Retread into the future" – at this year's Reifen exhibition from 24 to 27 May in Essen everything revolves around the performance of retreads at Kraiburg Austria. To emphasise this in terms of looks, the company is presenting almost its entire range of patterns this year. Roughly 60 life- size graphics from 1.70 to 0.35 metres will be hanging from the ceiling showing designs from the K_base, K_tech and K_plus ranges from both sides. Large-format posters hanging highly visible behind the counter
indicate the main themes: More mileage. More safety. More traction. More value for money.
The look is the one thing. Hard facts are something else. Kraiburg Austria
naturally also has these ready at hand for its customers, the retreaders. The Austrians have studied the comparability of retreads with new tyres intensively over the last few months. In numerous bench tests with Kraiburg top sellers conclusive results were determined regarding the three criteria displayed on the tyre label: rolling resistance, wet grip and tyre rolling noise. One of the test patterns, the profile K 700, is part of the exhibition.
life of the blades. In addition to a significant cost saving, the result is also a better retreaded tyre. Since buffing times are shorter and heat generation is reduced, the properties (flexibility) of the tyre rubber are maintained, meeting the increased modern requirements of retreaded tyres. In the preliminary stages much research and development work on
