The aim is
simply to improve awareness of better driving and make fleets safer for everyone.
Maintenance: The guide recommends the regular inspection of all tyres every 5,000 km, checking the tread depth and looking for abnormal wear and tear. It also recommends changing tyre positions every 10,000 km.
The guide also discusses checking
oils and fluids and the latest legislation of carrying current fire extinguishers on board trucks and
buses.
But attention is not just focused on the trucks; it also considers the drivers and advises ongoing training for drivers to ensure that they are kept updated
with traffic legislation and safety guidelines. It even discusses diet and work patterns, as well as materials handling.
NSA Pneutec has taken its support role for the fleet transport sector seriously and hopes that this small 12 point guide will go some way towards improving road safety in Brazil.
