Founded in 1938, the Nam Bee factory was originally located in the Kuala Lumpur suburb of Brickfields.
With an initial workforce of 5 workers, the production process was fairly manual in nature, but the continuous growth of the company saw it relocate to Sungei Besi in 1945, then to Petaling Jaya in 1967 and finally to its current location in Port Klang in 2010. With manufacturing facilities of 250,000 sq feet on a 10-acre site, as well as six tyre service and distribution centres strategically located throughout Peninsular Malaysia and a combined workforce of more than 300 people nationwide, Nam Bee Rubber and Tyre Group is one of Malaysia’s
leading firms in the rubber and tyre industr y.

In 1996 the company opened
retreading and repair services. In 1998 the company expanded by setting up a Corporate Fleet Services (CFS) division catering mainly to large fleet operators
balancing, alignment, 24-hour breakdown and rescue services on a nationwide basis. Tyre analysis, control and tracking information systems are powered by the company’s proven Advanced Pegasus Tyre Management SystemsTM Software.
Currently, CFS branches are located in Prai covering the Northern region, Johor covering the Southern region, Kuantan covering the Eastern region and Port Klang, Petaling Jaya and Senawang covering the Central region.

In 2005 the company opened its OTR Division, carrying out the retreading and repair of ‘big tyres’ for port cranes, quarry operators, mining, agriculture and estate operators.
