Delhi, consumes between 10 and 15 tonnes of tread rubber per month depending on the requirement. The unit commenced operation in 1992 and retreads around 1,500 truck and bus tyres per month by the cold process. Interestingly, he further added, “Private fleet owners get their tyres retreaded when their cash flow condition tightens, otherwise, they buy new tyres.” The price of a truck radial on average is around

“With the installation of the new equipment, the plant capacity will be doubled to around 4,000 tyres per month,” Yadav informed. Currently, the expansion work is on and it is likely to be completed by the end of October.
Commenting on the reasons for the company’s ongoing expansion, Yadav said; “Two more chambers would deal with the peak season rush.” The company is expanding the plant with an eye on various infrastructural projects announced by the government. The new projects would involve lots of trucking activity in the area in the near future. “The government is improving highways and has announced a metro rail expansion project to Bawal (Haryana).
