    VMI Group Fights IP Infringements
VMI Group has convinced Chinese law enforcement agencies to raid a Chinese company making equipment, which replicates VMI tyre building drums. The results of the raid are now being examined by the Chinese courts. A ruling is expected soon.
After reports of infringement, VMI decided to take action and requested an inspection of the factory involved. The Chinese authorities supported VMI’s request and evidence was gathered that is now placing the alleged replicator in a predicament. VMI is determined to persist with vigorous
enforcement against infringements anywhere in the world.
“It is an essential part of our strategy to protect our IP vigorously” said Harm Voortman, president and CEO of VMI. “Our products are designed to be the best in the world. To achieve this we spend a lot of effort and money on Research and Development. Moreover our newly developed equipment is well protected by various patents around the world. When our IP is challenged, we need to proceed with the next step and bring wrongdoers to court to have them face legal consequences.”
