Mr. Bogun (Rösler) & Mr. Sulasman (Head of Operations, Balikpapan / PAMA)
pioneer with this successful investment into a user own retread facility and has further strengthened its industry leading position as the largest Indonesian mining contractor in Southeast Asia. PAMA is now able to retread up to 1,000 tyres per year with a maximum tyre size of 33.00R51. This strategic decision not only secured PAMA‘s tyre supply for their fleet of more
than 2,800 vehicles, but also improved their overall out-of-service tyre costs.
Norbert Bogun, Head of Project Management at Rösler stated: “It is exciting and extremely rewarding to see the development process of PAMA‘s retread facility over the past five years. Their success is the result
of the hard work of all the people involved in this project and I look forward to new and even greater achievements together as a team.” For 2013 PAMA is planning to continue improving the output of its retread facility. Currently the company is evaluating expansion plans to meet the increasing demand.

Marangoni: Doubling Ringtread Capacity at Reifen Müller
Marangoni Retreading Systems has announced the installation of a second Ringbuilder 3000 at Reifen Müller GmbH, one of the biggest European retreaders operating in the market.
This is a building machine introduced several years ago by Marangoni Retreading Systems, designed for larger retreaders, and is able to produce at least 200 Ringtreads in an 8 hour shift, whilst at the same time occupying a small space and featuring a high level of automation that guarantees outstanding productivity, savings in labour and faster processing times. The RB 3000 makes it possible, with just one fully automated machine, to extrude
the cushion gum directly onto the casing, fill the craters, apply and roll the ring, thus creating a tyre that is ready to be cured.
Reifen Müller GmbH, a long-time Marangoni partner, was the first
retreader in Europe to adopt this technology, and the excellent results achieved have convinced the company to install a second machine.
Uwe Müller, managing director of
the German retreader, commented: “This second machine will help us further increase the efficiency, performance and quality of the cold retreading process”.
