companies with a wider view to marketing, or perhaps they believe that with Europe still deep in crisis there might well be a move towards lower cost equipment and they have to be at Bologna if they hope to make inroads.
Last but not least in the equipment supply sector is shearography supplier Steinbichler. The German specialists seem to make a point of being at every possible event and they are continuously developing their products to meet the ever changing needs of the retread sector, refining and improving all the time, so the team from Steinbichler always have something to show off.
It isn’t all about big budget items, there are plenty of materials and equipment suppliers who keep the retread world spinning, including abrasives specialists B&J Rocket, M.I.G with a range of tubes and patches and Rema Tip Top, who will of course be demonstrating everything from balancers to repair equipment.
Tech Europe and Shamrock Marketing will be offering their expertise in patches, repairs, tubes and all the sundries the retreader needs, whilst, all the way from Argentina, is Tirso Gomez with their range of repair materials looking to break into the European market. Dobermann will also be present through their European agent selling patches and repair materials, as will Italian sundries supplier GoGomma. Almost alone at the event will be casing giant Kargo, the casing market is now as competitive as it ever has been with shortages in various sizes of truck and OTR tyres. Kargro carry a huge amount of stock and ship tyres around the world as a matter of course. If you have it they might buy it, if you want it they will almost certainly sell it.
The tyre sector is increasingly having to consider the issue of recycling and two if Italy’s collection and valorisation services are attending the show. Ecopneus is the organisation tasked with catering for
the waste arisings from the larger tyre manufacturers and has the majority element of the Italian market for tyre recycling. However, Ecopneus, launched in 2012 is an independent organisation that manages tyre collection and valorisation for tyre mporters and non- members of the mainstream tyre sector.
The Tub Abdul Rubber Research Centre (TARRC) is also present at Autopromotec. TARRC offers an independent research facility that enables the rubber industry, in this case the sector specialising in
