The Year of the Dragon
and off-the-road, especially mining and construction.
TRIB's Mr. Stevens explained how the retread tyre industry has significant
economic and environmental benefits to the nation, especially in regards to the 232 million gallons of oil it saved last year.
TRM is claiming significant success with sales of its Black Dragon tyre building machine, haveing already installed several units of the
passenger tyres per hour and features the simultaneous building of tread and sidewalls, offering ver y high productivity, with lower
personnel costs and material savings. Furthermore, the building process, if done following the suggested timing and with the proper compound, does not require the application of the solution.
Once a “bead to bead” profile and the ideal circumference for the mould are programmed, the Black Dragon scans the casing with a laser and automatically applies tread and sidewalls, compensating any variation of the casing. The result is a built tyre always with the same dimension.
Amongst other benefits are easy
and rapid installation, the possibility to use any type of compound now sold in the market and the presence of a temperature control unit with independent closed circuit cooled by direct injection that eliminates the need of chiller or external chilling water. There is working place for only one operator to be chosen between the sidewall or tread area, with totally automatic full tyre building. The machine offers thousands of programs to choose from that can also be linked together.
“Apart from helping to reduce production costs, these features enable Black Dragon, TRM’s best seller, to be environment friendly”, says Regolini. “Special models are available for any requirement, up to a tailored Black Dragon. And”, he adds, “since we are now in the year of the dragon...”
machine, with others on order.
Says Rolando Regolini, Sales Director of TRM: “TRM is a company that has been able to anticipate the needs of the sector in order to be always in the first place for ideas and experience. It is no coincidence that after celebrating our 30th anniversary, we can still be recognized around the world for our innovation and reliability. The Black Dragon is a jewel of the most innovative technology now present in the tyre retreading machinery business. The main retreading companies of the world (i.e. Italy, Europe, Russia, North America ) have already understood its potential”
The Black Dragon is claimed to be the only machine able to build tyres from 13” to 24,5” bead to bead with the hot retreading process. The machine has a capacity of up to 55
