Vacu-Lug Seals Deal With WH Malcolm
  Steinbichler Intact for Vietnam
The Vietnamese new tyre producer Danang Rubber Company has launched a project for the establishment of an additional tyre factory. Steinbichler participated successfully in the tender for tyre testing equipment and contracts were signed on 6th February 2012 in Danang/Vietnam.
The Asian markets, including China, are especially important for Steinbichler Optotechnik. The company claims to distinguish itself through its high market
share in the region. Steinbichler underlines the importance of Asia by the operation of their own branch offices in the biggest economies in China and India. India´s importance is growing rapidly due to increasing professionalism in its tyre and retreading industry.
Particularly in Asia, professionals realise what an important role shearography plays for safety and quality in the lifespan of a tyre, says the company.
After extensive testing UK based retreader Vacu-Lug has sealed a deal with freight handler W H Malcolm. The tests on container handling equipment showed operating costs being reduced by up to as much as 30 per cent.
In detail the contract will see Vacu-Lug, based at Gonerby Hill, Grantham, supply tyres to seven mechanical handling devices based at Daventry, Elderslie and Grangemouth.
The contract states that the steer
tyres on the freight handlers will be either Yokohama or Bridgestone, with Mortrak MTK 4, Industrial 110 pattern (half-track) self-cleaning retread tyres fitted to the four drive wheels.
To ensure the maximum lifespan from these hard worked tyres, tyre maintenance will be carried out by T&C Site
Services who will supply on-site support and tyre management. "The long-term trial demonstrated the cost-effectiveness and savings that can be achieved using a premium tyre and a premium support service," said Steve Sugden, WH Malcolm’s fleet engineer.
"We are delighted at the outcome and now look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Vacu-Lug."
TATNEFT Expands Radial Tyre Servicing Net
B&J launches its
Quality Campaign
Russia’s TATNEFT network of tyre service centres has seen recent expansion in Russia and the CIS states.
"Kama", which is one of the largest Russian tyre distributors, has created a unique Tire & Service network of franchised tyre service centres across Russia and the CIS. To date, the T&S chain includes 67 tyre retail and service centres in Russia, while there are also about 30 centres located in the Ukraine, 5 of them in
K azakhstan, and 2 centres in the Czech Republic. The network continues to expand.
The centres will not only perform regrooving/re-treading operations (the retread tyre design is fit for re-treading to the required State standards and technical specifications for retreading depth), but also the collection of tyres requiring recover y. The tyre retreading is expected to take place at specialised plants that
are certified as complying with the requirements and operating with
application of recommended retread tyre technologies. TATNEFT has invested about 17 billion roubles in radial tyre development. The new tyres are used on trucks, buses and long- haul tractors with increased loading capacity. The use of radial tyres provides for an 8 per cent increase in load capacity and a 15 per cent reduction in fuel consumption, while tyre mileage is increased by up to as much as 500 thousand kilometres thanks to the possibility of triple retreading.
Products of the Nizhnekamsk SSC (Radial) Tire Factory, which is part of "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company, meet all current requirements for strength, efficiency and environmental measures.

B&J Rocket, with its headquarters in Baar, Switzerland, and operating worldwide, will be presenting its new hallmark ‘Quality Plus’ to trade visitors from all over the world.
